Michael Foods Recalls Hard-Cooked Eggs Sold In 34 States Due to Listeria Threat

The FDA and Michael Foods, Inc. announced the recall of  15,000 pails of eggs in brine, sold for institutional use. The eggs were recalled due to the concern that they could cause listeria.

Listeria can cause short-term symptoms

such as hi

gh fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea in healthy people. But it can be a serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. [Continue reading…]
